Iain Simpson
Iain is a Scottish director and producer, and a co-founder and Executive Producer at HAUS Pictures. Known for his distinctive style, Iain blends authentic, raw performances with provocative, gritty, yet visually stunning storytelling. His work often delves into themes of inner conflict and mental health, and he has a unique ability to weave drama and comedy together in a nuanced way that captures the complexity of real human emotions.
In 2015, Iain was mentored by acclaimed filmmaker Lynne Ramsay as part of Film London’s Microwave program. He is also an alumnus of the Edinburgh International Film Festival’s "Talent Lab" and the Edinburgh International TV Festival’s "Ones to Watch" program. As Executive Producer at HAUS Pictures, Iain is committed to developing a diverse slate of original, thought-provoking films, commercials, and music videos.
Beyond his professional work, Iain is passionate about mentoring and supporting emerging talent, particularly those who have not had the opportunity to attend film school or higher education.
